Software Engineer (Python/ML)

Monthly salary: $5,500 - $7,500 USD

Our partner assists lenders in unblocking their underwriting bottleneck at scale. This is accomplished through a novel approach with a modern Rules-based Distributed System that constantly reacts and updates according to a variety of stimuli.

Do you like Functional Programming? Great, they do too. That’s why Clojure is a first-class citizen in their stack. How about Machine Learning? Great. They are building classification models to classify documents and extract data to automate the mortgage process. They have combined Clojure, Machine Learning, and Google to form a sophisticated lending document platform.

What you’ll do:

• Contribute to the design, architecture, and development of their Document Management,
• classification and extraction platform
• Work on applications in Clojure, Java, and Python
• Work on frontend code with JavaScript and Svelte
• Manage Machine Learning workloads with TensorFlow and Google Doc AI tools
• Work with their DevOps team on their autoscaling Containers running in ECS and managed through Terraform

Who you are:

• 6+ years of experience as a software developer with Python and ML experience
• 3+ years of experience with TensorFlow
• You are pragmatic and factor business value into every decision
• Enjoy being a part of a team
• Rock-solid communication skills
• Comfortable working in Clojure or Java
• Experienced with distributed microservice architectures

• Financial technology
• AI / Expert Systems
• AWS / Terraform
