Mobile Technical Lead – Native iOS & Android Engineering

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Technical Lead to architect and guide the delivery of high-performing, scalable, and secure mobile solutions across iOS and Android platforms. In this leadership role, you’ll work hands-on with modern native technologies while leading a cross-functional team through best-in-class Agile delivery practices, including SAFe, Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Program Increments (PIs), and Big Room Planning.

You will play a critical role in defining technical standards, mentoring engineers, and collaborating deeply with product and platform teams to shape the future of our mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications using Swift and Kotlin across iOS and Android ecosystems.
• Architect and implement scalable, clean, and testable mobile codebases following best practices (SwiftUI, MVVM, Combine on iOS; Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow on Android).
• Champion native testing automation using XCTest, JUnit, Espresso, and CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery and quality.
• Drive the adoption of technical standards, coding guidelines, and engineering best practices across the mobile engineering community.
• Collaborate closely with architects, business stakeholders, and Agile teams within the SAFe framework, including participating in ART syncs, PI Planning, and sprint ceremonies.
• Mentor and develop the skills of mobile engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Provide strategic technical direction for new features, architectural improvements, and product scalability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of professional experience in native mobile development across iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin).
• Strong hands-on experience with SwiftUI, Combine, MVVM; Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow.
• Proficiency in mobile test automation using XCTest, Espresso, and JUnit.
• Proven experience leading mobile engineering teams in Agile delivery environments, ideally within SAFe or scaled Agile settings.
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns, continuous integration/delivery, and application lifecycle management.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to influence and mentor across technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise-scale digital transformation.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices and DevSecOps principles.
• Experience with App Store and Play Store release management.
• Background working in regulated or high-availability environments (e.g. banking, insurance).
