Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced Senior UX/UI Designer to help shape the way our teams design, build, and deliver exceptional digital experiences.

Joining a cross-functional team tasked with building a loyalty platform mobile app for a leading insurer, this role combines hands-on design expertise with strategic vision. Creating human-centered, scalable, and beautifully crafted solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes.

Flexible working arrangements with three days in the office (Sydney CBD).

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end design delivery – Drive the full design process from discovery to delivery, ensuring cohesive, high-quality experiences across digital touchpoints.
  • Human-centred design execution – Apply research, testing, and data-led insight to create intuitive, high-performing experiences.
  • Design planning and strategy – Balance near-term delivery with longer-term design direction, aligning activity across priorities.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Partner with product, engineering, customer, and commercial teams to align on vision. Use storytelling to bring stakeholders along in your design process.
  • Craft and quality standards – Maintain a high bar for design craft and execution, driving experiences that deliver measurable results and evolve the underlying platform.
  • Design systems and accessibility – Champion design consistency and accessibility (WCAG 2.0 AA), ensuring adherence to best practices and shared design standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing and delivering mobile applications (essential).
  • Insurance domain knowledge (essential); experience with loyalty or rewards platforms desirable.
  • Deep understanding of design systems and human-centred design methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, elegant, and scalable design solutions.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, defining frameworks, and aligning cross-functional teams around design goals.
  • Skilled in using illustration and iconography to enhance storytelling and user engagement.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Miro).
