Project Manager

Your New Role

As Project Manager, you will lead the planning, procurement, and delivery of a major digital systems and database redevelopment project. You will manage end-to-end project activities, including vendor engagement, contract management, and implementation of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, requirements gathering, and project management for digital systems and database development.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes in line with Commonwealth Government policies.
• Oversee vendors and consultants to refine Statements of Requirements for legacy database redevelopment.
• Coordinate project delivery, including scheduling, risk management, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Chair project meetings, prepare minutes, and track follow-up actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop digital and analytical solutions.
• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline clearance is essential.
• Demonstrated experience managing IT projects from inception to completion.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PRINCE2).
• Experience with government procurement systems and panels (highly desirable).
• Background in healthcare or aged care projects is essential.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Information Technology, Health Information Management, or related disciplines.
