Our client, a leading organisation operating within a secure and complex enterprise environment, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer for an initial 6-month engagement with strong potential for extension. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in high-availability, large-scale environments.

About the Role

You will be responsible for designing, implementing and supporting resilient network infrastructure across a mission-critical environment. Working closely with architects, security teams and wider business stakeholders, you will help ensure robust, secure and high-performing network operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain complex, high-availability network environments
• Provide senior-level troubleshooting across routing, switching and multi-vendor firewall technologies
• Support secure cloud connectivity solutions (e.g., Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect)
• Conduct proactive system monitoring, performance tuning and incident response
• Engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Mandatory Skills and Experience

• Expert-level proficiency across networking, routing and firewall management
• Demonstrated experience working within large-scale Enterprise, Government or Defence environments
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in complex network ecosystems
• Experience supporting secure cloud connectivity and hybrid environments
• Excellent communication and documentation capability
