Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Solar, BESS & Wind)
Leap29 are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to oversee the full project lifecycle for solar PV, BESS and wind projects. This includes from early-stage development through to engineering, procurement, and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple renewable energy projects from concept through to commission.
- Oversee development milestones including permitting, grid applications, land agreements, and technical assessments.
- Coordinate engineering design, procurement strategy, and EPC contractor selection.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments to ensure project delivery is both on time and on budget.
- Liaise with local authorities, landowners, utilities, and cross-functional internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with regional regulations and renewable energy standards in Eastern Europe (Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria).
- Drive performance across construction and commissioning phases, ensuring HSE standards are adhered to.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and direction to project teams and external partners.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree required (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Renewable Energy, or related discipline).
- 7+ years of project management experience within renewable energy (solar, wind, or BESS).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or energy projects within Eastern Europe.
- Strong understanding of EPC contract structures and development workflows.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English.
