We are currently seeking a senior Senior PHP / Laravel Developer to design, develop and secure high-scalability backend applications while implementing DevSecOps best practices across the full software lifecycle for a prestigious European Institution in Brussels. 🔍🇪🇺

🖥️ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the migration and modernization of PHP/Laravel applications, integrating them with multiple CRMs and ensuring end-to-end development across frontend, backend, APIs and cloud services;
• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure with focus on reliability, security and performance optimisation;
• Implement and maintain DevSecOps practices, including platform security hardening, monitoring, compliance and proactive vulnerability management;
• Build and maintain database-driven systems and PHP/Laravel modules, improving performance, refactoring legacy code and developing new components and internal tools;
• Oversee system integrations, data pipelines and API connectivity, ensuring smooth communication between applications, devices and cloud-based architectures in high-scalability environments.

📝 REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel, with ability to design, develop, integrate and maintain complex, scalable backend applications;
• Solid knowledge of Web Security and DevSecOps practices, including secure coding, continuous integration, security monitoring, authentication/authorization (OAuth, OpenID Connect) and data protection principles;
• Proficiency in SQL/MySQL;
• Hands-on experience with front-end basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript);
• Familiarity with DevOps toolchains such as Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, JIRA/Confluence and cloud-based environments;
• University degree in Computer Science or relevant fields;
• Eligibility for Personal Security Clearance;
• Fluency in English (C1);
• Ability to work in multicultural and international settings.

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence at the Brussels office 3 days per week. 📍
