About the Role

We are currently looking for a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer to contribute to the modernization and operational continuity of applications within a key government context. You’ll take part in both takeover and reengineering activities across a diverse landscape of business-critical applications.

Your mission will involve ensuring smooth maintenance, implementing new features, and redesigning applications to meet today’s development standards. You will work closely with internal teams, technical leads, and external stakeholders in a dynamic, multi-system environment where quality, performance, and security are paramount.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business applications, components, and web services
• Contribute to the design of technical architecture and reusable building blocks
• Participate in Scrum rituals, technical working groups, and stakeholder meetings
• Support application testing, documentation, deployment, and reporting processes

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 6 years of full-time professional experience in Java Development (ideally full stack)
• Master's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Expertise in Java 17+, Spring (Core, Data, JDBC, Security, AOP), Angular 16+, JPA, REST APIs
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or SQL Server, and modern dev practices (Git, Docker, Maven)
• Agile/Scrum mindset with solid testing knowledge (JUnit, Mockito)
• Fluent in French or Dutch and English
• Must be an EU national and able to work in a secured environment
