Title: Senior Software Architect

Major Duties

We are looking for Tampere

Senior Software Architect

to join our R&D automation team, which is responsible for the control systems of harvesters, forwarders and full-tree machines worldwide.

In this position, you will design and implement versatile software features for our machine control systems. As a tech lead in your area, your main responsibilities are defining sustainable design principles and architectures, supporting other team members, and combining all this with hands-on practical development work of your own. You will work together in active cooperation with local and international cross-technical design teams, and on your part be responsible for high-quality software development in our projects.

We require

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing sustainable complex solutions in embedded systems
  • Proficiency in C language
  • Adequate understanding of Matlab/Simulink tools with motivation to learn more in this area
  • Solid experience in software production tools and methods such as DevOps and Agile development
  • High desire for continuously improving your skillset as a professional
  • Great teamwork skills and technical leadership required in an international work environment

We value

  • University degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
  • Experience and interest in mobile heavy machinery
  • Understanding of electronics and/or hydraulics
  • Fluency in Finnish considered as an advantage

Position is permanent and full-time and open both internally and externally. Starting date will be agreed separately. Salary is according to the salary grade, taking into account your experience.
