Information Technology Engineer

12-month Freelance Contract | IT Engineer | 3rd Line Support | IT Services | Düsseldorf / Hybrid

Our client is a nationwide technology and service provider headquartered in Düsseldorf, employing over 1,000 professionals across multiple locations. The company supports customers in digitalising and securely operating modern IT and business processes, delivering high-quality solutions in infrastructure, security, data management, and digital workplace services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain a comprehensive client infrastructure comprising several thousand systems
• Analyse and resolve technical incidents within 3rd-level support, continuously improving client systems
• Oversee ticket management and coordinate directly with internal and external partners on complex inquiries
• Plan and implement updates, patches, and security measures to ensure long-term system stability
• Create and deploy software packages using MECM
• Collaborate closely with adjacent teams to successfully integrate new services and requirements

What You Bring

• Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration or a comparable qualification
• Solid expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), especially software packaging and deployment
• Experience with Intune is a strong advantage
• Confident handling of ticketing systems and IT support processes
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset
• Independent, structured, and service-oriented working style
• Excellent German skills and good command of English, both written and spoken
