Role Overview:

As Magento Developer, you will lead the technical delivery of our global e-commerce platforms based on Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce). You’ll work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the digital storefronts supports our brand growth, scalability, and sustainability ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Magento Development & Architecture

•Lead development, architecture, and optimization of Magento 2 platforms.

•Implement and maintain integrations (ERP, PIM, CRM, payment gateways, logistics APIs, etc.).

•Ensure performance, reliability, and security of e-commerce sites.

•Monitor platform health, address technical debt, and propose improvements.

Magento Admin & Store Management

•Manage and configure Magento Admin features: product setup, catalog rules, pricing rules, customer groups, tax configurations, and store views.

•Support e-commerce managers with catalog updates, content changes, and store configuration.

•Troubleshoot admin panel issues and ensure data accuracy across storefronts.

•Oversee multi-store, multi-language, and multi-currency configurations.

•Ensure smooth operation of order management, fulfilment workflows, and inventory integrations.

Adobe Commerce Cloud Expertise

•Manage Adobe Commerce Cloud environments (Integration, Staging, Production).

•Configure build/deploy pipelines and cloud architecture.

•Use Magento Cloud tools for logs, variables, routes, and services.

•Monitor application performance using tools like New Relic, Blackfire, or Adobe-provided monitoring solutions.

•Apply best practices for security, zero-downtime deployment, and performance tuning.

Performance & Scalability

•Ensure uptime, stability, and scalability during high-traffic periods.

•Optimize Fastly CDN configuration, VCL rules, caching strategies, and image optimization.

•Use Cloud CLI tools for deployments, snapshot backups, patch application, and troubleshooting.

•Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams (or independently) to manage pipelines, environment variables, corn jobs, and build hooks.

•Stay updated on Magento and e-commerce trends, incorporating sustainable and ethical digital practices.

Collaboration & Leadership

•Work closely with UX/UI, product, and marketing teams to translate user stories and design concepts.

•Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews.

About You

•3 years of hands-on Magento 2 development experience.

•Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.

•Experience designing clean and maintainable Magento module architecture.

•Ability to optimize site speed, caching, and performance.

•Strong communication and collaboration skills.

•Curious, proactive, aligned with Horseware values.

Qualifications & Skills

•Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).

•Proven experience with Magento 2 module/theme development.

•Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Composer, Docker.

•Experience with front-end frameworks or PWA approaches.

•Strong database design and troubleshooting abilities.

•Experience with Elasticsearch/Solr and multi-store setups.

•Knowledge of web security and payment gateway integrations.

•Experience configuring Cloud services such as AWS-based hosting, Redis, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, CDN (Fastly), and queue workers.
