Senior SAP ABAP Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost-benefit evaluations aligning technology with business objectives
• Collect and document both functional and non-functional requirements from stakeholders
• Participate in pre-sales efforts as a technical architect presenting solution proposals
• Drive development of new features within SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP SaaS
• Resolve technical challenges employing industry best practices in software development
• Perform hands-on coding for both front-end and back-end components
• Assess application changes impact and support integration and solution design
• Provide guidance based on SAP CIO Guides, Integration Solution Advisory Methodology, and Application Extension Methodology
• Estimate development, Basis, DevOps, and architecture efforts for SAP projects
• Develop detailed solution architecture documentation and technical work breakdown structures

Requirements

• Extensive experience of over 12 years in SAP ABAP development with a minimum of 5 years in a Solution Architect capacity
• Comprehensive understanding of SAP portfolio including ERP, Finance, CRM, and Supply Chain modules
• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform products and environments such as Cloud Foundry and Kyma/Kubernetes
• Proven background in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SaaS extensibility modes including In-App, On-Stack, and Side-by-Side
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate level English proficiency to collaborate effectively
• Capability to lead technical project aspects and provide architectural direction

Nice to have

• Awareness of IT architecture standards like TOGAF and ITABoK
• Knowledge of SAP methodologies including SAP Activate and RISE/GROW with SAP
• Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services such as SAP HANA Cloud and SAP Build Process Automation
• Programming skills in Java, JavaScript, and Groovy
• Experience working with major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
