You and your job

At Rabobank, you take responsibility for the entire software lifecycle, from idea to realization. Our starting point is simple: you build it, you run it. You will ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards in terms of architecture, security and documentation. Your role goes beyond building and testing software; You also contribute to quality assurance, implementation and incident resolution. Your problem-solving skills and proactive approach are central to inspiring the team with new digital developments and improvements.

You are part of Pay and Receive on Time (PaRoT) Area, in the Tribe Payments. PaRoT is committed to unburden our customers by providing seamless online payments and services. Your team will focus on payment limits and fraud. Features critical to our banking system and enabling our customers to transfer funds seamlessly and robustly.

You and your talent

Within Payments, we feel integrity, customer focus, and improvement are important. We value change and an open mindset. In addition, it is important that you are a team player and recognize yourself in the checklist below:

Frontend

• 3–5 years of experience in production-level software development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular (or similar modern frontend framework).
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, UI libraries, and styling solutions (SCSS, CSS Modules, Styled Components).
  
  

Backend

• Practical experience with Java (preferably Kotlin).
• Hands-on knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA, and relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL or similar).
• Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and API security concepts.
  
  

DevOps & Cloud

• Experience working in Agile/DevOps teams.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to monitoring and feature rollout tools like Splunk, SignalFx, and Split.io.
  
  

Soft Skills

• Ownership and initiative: ability to take responsibility and drive tasks to completion.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Fluent in English, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
  
  

Preferable

• Experience or affinity with the financial sector, especially Payments.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1+ AA accessibility standards.
• Experience with high-availability systems and designing for stability and maintainability.
