Senior Software Engineer - Delft - ALTEN Netherlands

The Position

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for Senior Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to ongoing client projects in Delft.

• Lead software projects from idea to delivery, making sure solutions meet technical and system requirements.
• Design and guide the architecture of monitoring systems that support real-time decisions and automation.
• Create algorithms that turn sensor data and simulation output into useful insights.
• Support and mentor teammates, helping build a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Your Profile

• Strong experience in programming and software architecture, especially for monitoring or automating mechanical systems.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Curiosity, willingness to learn, and comfort with experimentation.
• A collaborative mindset and broad interest in technology.
• Experience with some of these: Python, Go, SQL, C/C++.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab).
• Experience building engineering or simulation tools for physical systems or process optimization.
• Willingness to occasionally work offshore to help commission and test systems.
