Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Network Engineer, particularly in a data center environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server infrastructure, and hardware components. Proficiency in troubleshooting complex hardware and network issues.
• Certifications: CCNA or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
• Languages: Fluency in French and English is preferred.
• Soft Skills: Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Center Capacity and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and optimize rack and server layouts. Monitor capacity utilization and plan for scalability and future growth.
• Equipment Provisioning and Deployment: Provision, configure, and deploy servers, network devices, and infrastructure in both staging and production environments. Ensure accurate and timely installation following industry standards.
• Hardware Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues to minimize downtime. Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes with vendors for faulty equipment replacements.
• Best Practice Implementation: Establish and enforce best practices for a secure, efficient, and reliable data center environment. Stay updated with industry trends to improve processes and operations.
• Package Handling and Inventory Management: Handle and process high volumes of sensitive hardware, such as customer hard drives. Maintain inventory records to ensure security and availability.
• Operating System and Hardware Maintenance: Perform hardware maintenance tasks, including hard drive replacements and equipment repairs. Work with major operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) for server operations.
• Networking and Server Installation: Conduct network maintenance, including server installations from unboxing to rack setup. Configure IP addresses, set up RAID arrays, and ensure connectivity across systems.
• Order and Ticket Management: Manage incoming orders and tickets, ensuring timely updates and resolution. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all activities.
