Adecco Human Resources is recruiting for the position of Deputy Project Manager for a top company in the infrastructure sector, involved in complex projects such as metro systems, tunnels, and bridges. Responsibilities

Construction Strategy and Execution:

  1. Defines and implements the overall construction execution strategy.
  2. Oversees and coordinates civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and systems construction activities across all areas and work packages.
  3. Ensures that construction activities align with project milestones, safety objectives, and quality standards.
  4. Reviews and approves construction schedules, resource allocation plans, and methodologies.

Leadership and Team Management:

  1. Leads and manages a multidisciplinary team of construction managers, site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  2. Promotes a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  3. Identifies training and development needs and mentors senior construction staff.

Project Control and Reporting:

  1. Works closely with planning, cost control, and document control teams to monitor construction progress.
  2. Reviews and validates progress reports, KPIs, and recovery plans when required.
  3. Ensures accurate reporting to project management and stakeholders.

Interface and Coordination:

  1. Coordinates with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, HSE, and Commercial departments to remove obstacles to execution.
  2. Manages construction-related interfaces with design changes, permits, utilities, and client/authority requirements.
  3. Ensures alignment between construction requirements and commissioning handover needs.

Health, Safety, and Quality:

  1. Enforces compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  2. Leads regular site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
  3. Ensures implementation of corrective actions for nonconformities and best practices.

Contract and Subcontractor Oversight:

  1. Oversees construction subcontractors, ensuring compliance with scope, quality, and schedule.
  2. Participates in the evaluation, onboarding, and performance review of subcontractors.
  3. Supports claims and variations related to construction delays or changes.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction, or related fields.
  • Solid experience (minimum 10 years) in managing complex construction projects, preferably in infrastructure, commercial/industrial buildings, or EPC projects.
  • Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary teams (civil, MEP, architecture, structures).
  • Experience in managing subcontractors and construction contracts.
