Being a Staff Software Engineer at Tobii, you will:
- Design and develop embedded software libraries and demo applications
- Collaborate with ML researchers to optimize architecture and implementation
- Work with Product Management to define and build proof-of-concept applications
- Support customers in integrating our solutions into their vehicles and test benches
- Travel as needed to support customer projects and demos
- Proficiency in developing embedded applications in C and C++
- Experience with automotive embedded platforms and debugging
- Familiarity with platform-specific optimizations (ARM Neon, DSP, GPU, NPU)
- Experience integrating SDKs into embedded systems
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., Field Application Engineer)
- Willingness to travel based on project needs
- Experience with camera/imaging sensor integration
- Familiarity with ML-based applications on embedded devices
- Is genuinely excited about building meaningful technology
- Thrives in dynamic environments and adapts quickly to change
- Takes initiative and drives progress without waiting to be asked
- Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Builds strong, collaborative relationships with teammates
