Experience-10+ Years
The Lund teams cover a wide range of technology areas such as embedded real-time systems, communication via CAN-bus, Bluetooth Low Energy, and cellular displays. We also develop user interfaces on RTOS platforms and work with algorithm development, including machine learning and interaction with cloud backends and mobile apps.
The teams are involved throughout the entire development process — from hardware evaluation to maintenance mode. We work in an agile environment, using SAFe.
As an Embedded Software Developer, you will design, integrate, and debug software for products and modules. You will also take part in creative and innovative activities related to bike computers, connectivity modules, and other eBike components.

A successful candidate must be a team player with strong social skills and a cross-functional mindset (software–hardware–test). You have a strong drive and a positive “can-do” attitude. You take ownership of your assignments and are keen to deliver on time. Furthermore, you are motivated to continuously learn and eager to share your knowledge with your colleagues. You are likely already a natural go-to person for challenging technical questions.
Essential Skills
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
- 10+ years of embedded software development experience, preferably within IoT products.
- Hands-on experience with embedded IoT networking protocols such as CoAP, MQTT, REST, and/or V2X (DSRC or C-V2X).
Experience in:
- C++ programming using RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS) systems.
- Developing efficient code for constrained systems (e.g., small memory footprint, low power requirements).
- Integration and debugging (JTAG or similar) of subsystems and peripherals.
- Hands-on experience with Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, UWB, or NFC.
- Leveraging DevSecOps practices and techniques to ensure fast and quality-assured content, including threat modeling, automated security testing, CI/CD, communication, and collaboration.
Meritorious Experience:
- Service development and IoT management.
- Low-power design and measurement.
- C programming skills.
- Algorithm development, machine learning, and experience with the Atlassian tool suite.
