This is a role for a hands-on technical leader who thrives at the intersection of engineering excellence, applied AI, and modern software delivery.

The Opportunity

As Director of AI Engineering, you will:

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of AI Engineers
• Drive delivery of sophisticated AI products and reusable AI services
• Establish engineering standards and golden-path frameworks for scalable AI development
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture, and senior leadership stakeholders
• Stay ahead of emerging AI innovations and incorporate them into production solutions
• Shape technical strategy while remaining deeply hands-on in code, design, and architecture

This is a strategic yet technical leadership role suited to someone who wants to make meaningful impact across a global organisation.

What You’ll Bring

• Senior background as an AI engineer or AI engineering manager
• Strong hands-on experience in applied machine learning and modern software engineering
• Advanced proficiency in Python and cloud-based ML development
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and production-scale ML systems
• Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex AI products
• Solid understanding of architecture, CI/CD, testing, optimisation, and scaling
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working in regulated or quality-driven environments is beneficial

Compensation & Benefits

Total Package Value:

• 1,149,652 SEK annually (approx. €104,600) Includes base salary, target bonus, and wellness allowance.

Base Salary (listed separately):

• 1,041,502 SEK annually (approx. €94,720)

Bonus:

• 10% annual target (0–20% range)

Additional Benefits:

• 4,000 SEK annual wellness allowance
• 37 paid vacation days
• Comprehensive relocation package for international candidates (support includes visa assistance, relocation logistics, settling-in support, and guidance on housing, taxation, schooling, and Swedish systems)

There is no car allowance or long-term incentive element for this grade.
