Business Data Analyst

Data Business Analyst:

On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for a Data Business Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Montreal office.

Job Description:

The Data Business Analyst role involves working on a global regulatory program focused on delivering data quality reporting for critical reporting. The project requires collaboration across divisions to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables, enhancing strategic tooling for cataloging and lineage.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-divisional project managers and technology product owners

• Conduct effective communication bridging policy, tooling, governance, and delivery

• Educate development teams on data governance tools and JIRA

• Troubleshoot roadblocks encountered by development teams

• Understand Data Architecture & Management principles and BCBS 239 framework

• Identify and mitigate risks using the Agile framework

• Partner with the Firmwide Data Office to enhance strategic tooling

Mandatory Skills:

• Previous experience as a Business or Data Analyst

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Understanding of technical solutions at an API and configuration level

• Familiarity with data governance concepts

• Experience with global teams in the finance industry

• Ability to express complex ideas simply

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in large consulting firms

• Familiarity with Agile framework

• Understanding of BCBS 239 framework

• Experience in data cataloging and lineage

• Ability to influence stakeholders
