Senior IT Network Expert
Your tasks:
- Planning, implementation and maintenance of network and firewall solutions
- Redesign of existing MPLS infrastructures (worldwide)
- Monitoring network performance and security as well as proactive troubleshooting
- Carrying out network tests and analyses to identify bottlenecks and security gaps
- Planning and execution of projects, including time management, resource allocation and budget control
- Working closely with other international IT teams to plan and execute integrations and upgrades
- Design and implementation of security policies and procedures
- Documenting network configurations, security policies and procedures
- Support other team members with network and firewall related issues
Requirements:
- Degree in computer science, information technology or comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of professional experience in network and firewall administration
- Sound knowledge in the configuration and administration of firewalls and switches (preferably Sophos, Fortinet, Cisco, DELL)
- Experience with network protocols and technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, WAN and MPLS)
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP are an advantage
- Ability to act as the main person responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of network and firewall solutions, taking overall responsibility for solution development and implementation
- Experience in Windows Server infrastructures is desirable
- Expertise in creating holistic network and security solutions, including the development of architectural designs, technical specifications and integration plans is desirable
- Analytical mindset and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Business fluent in German and English
