Role: Apple Systems Engineer (Zurich)

Location: Zurich onsite

I am working with a global client who is looking for an Apple-focused Systems Engineer to join their Engineering team in Zurich. The position involves a blend of on-site technical support and remote assistance for colleagues across the APAC region. You’ll take ownership of Apple endpoint management, ensure seamless user experiences, and contribute to the stability and evolution of our internal IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• User and Device Support: Deliver front line and second level assistance for macOS and iOS platforms, including hardware configuration, software deployment, and incident resolution.
• Endpoint Administration: Oversee lifecycle management for Mac and iPad devices using JAMF, from enrollment and policy creation to updates and compliance.
• Infrastructure Integration: Work closely with global technology teams to ensure Apple systems align with corporate infrastructure and security standards.
• Workstation Setup: Prepare and configure new user workstations and peripherals for both local and remote offices, ensuring readiness from day one.
• Cross Platform Assistance: Provide occasional support for Windows and AV systems as part of the broader endpoint support team.
• Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate technical documentation, internal guides, and self-service resources for end users.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process enhancements or automation opportunities within the Apple ecosystem.

Your Background

Certifications such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or JAMF Certified Administrator are highly valued.

3–5 years of experience managing Apple environments in a corporate setting, ideally with exposure to JAMF, macOS/iOS deployment, and SaaS tools (e.g., Okta, Microsoft 365).

Strong understanding of scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Swift within Unix environments.

Familiarity with Azure AD, identity and access management, and SSO integrations.

Solid grasp of networking fundamentals and on-premises IT setups supporting hybrid workplaces.

Fluency in Swiss German, High German, and English is required.
