Key Responsibilities
In This Role, You Will
- Manage a high caseload of complex RTI and Information Privacy (IP) applications within legislative timeframes.
- Exercise delegated decision-making powers and prepare well-reasoned decision notices and submissions to the Office of the Information Commissioner.
- Provide accurate, easy-to-understand advice to internal and external stakeholders on the RTI Act and related processes.
- Research and interpret legislation, case law, and best practice in information management.
- Liaise with business areas to identify and assess documents for release, including redacting sensitive material.
- Support OIR's publication scheme and disclosure log to promote proactive disclosure.
- Maintain high standards of recordkeeping and compliance with statutory requirements.
