THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Broad Network Systems Engineer (L2/3) to ensure the availability, performance and security of the organisations corporate network systems infrastructure.

Working in a close knit and supportive team, you will be responsible for a complex enterprise hybrid-environment.

This is a junior to mid-level role that will develop and expand over time.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintain, administer, and support the corporate and branch network - routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, SD-WAN, WAN/LAN, VPN etc.
• Manage, administer and L2/3 support across Windows Server, VMware, Citrix, Office 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, Intune.
• Handle backups, DR and BCP.
• Patching and monitoring to ensure system availably, reliability, security, and performance.
• Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, incident management, and fault resolution.
• Assist with the design and implementation of new IT solutions.
• Handle escalations from the Service Desk as needed.
• Ensure up-to-date documentation.
• Project delivery - network redesign / upgrades / segmentation; new site set up (commission/decommission); office relocations; new infrastructure builds to support data-related projects etc

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALITIES

Suitable for a junior-mid level Infrastructure Engineer / Administrator with broad experience across managing mid-sized enterprise network systems infrastructure.

Ideal for some hungry to learn seeking an opportunity that will grow and evolve over time.

The following is needed:

• Proven networking experience - administration & support of routers, switches, firewalls and wireless.
• Proven experience with the support & administration of Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and Office 365.
• Competent networking knowledge (VPN, WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP).
• Background working in mid-sized yet complex enterprise environments on hybrid private datacentre infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications - e.g. CCNA, Microsoft.
• Culture fit is key - friendly with no ego, happy to help others no matter the task, sense of camaraderie, excellent communication skills, enjoys taking accountability and proactively identifying/resolving issues.

This is a full-time permanent role located North of the CBD (hybrid working available) and is offering $110,000 - $115,000 (plus super) - depending on experience.
