🚀 Contract Opportunity: Principal Digital Interaction Architect (AI Focus)

Role Overview & Setting

We are seeking an innovative Contract Digital Interaction Architect specializing in sophisticated, goal-driven Artificial Intelligence (AI) experiences. This is a project-based contract focused on engineering the next generation of automated services and self-service capabilities for a major internal platform used across our organization.

This role requires moving beyond traditional script-based chatbots to designing fully autonomous, agentic digital assistants capable of end-to-end task resolution, proactive user guidance, and seamless integration into multi-channel enterprise systems.

Project Details

• Location: Central Hub (Hybrid - 2 days per week required on-site).
• Engagement Period: A six-month assignment, beginning in Q4 2025, with the potential for renewal.
• Core Competencies: Fluency in English is essential, combined with proficiency in either Dutch or French.

Key Deliverables & Responsibilities

I. Autonomous System Blueprinting

• Conceptualize and map out non-linear, intent-based conversational journeys where AI agents manage complex workflows autonomously to achieve a defined user goal.
• Establish systematic protocols for modular conversation components, ensuring reusability and dynamic adaptation based on user context and business process variations.
• Develop robust safety nets, defining clear thresholds, escalation logic, and efficient handover procedures to human support or integrated system backends.

II. AI Tooling & System Optimization

• Work in tight partnership with Machine Learning and Data Science teams to fine-tune Natural Language Understanding (NLU) performance, focusing on accuracy in intent classification and sophisticated response generation.
• Utilize industry-leading AI orchestration platforms (e.g., frameworks compatible with LLMs, vector search, or advanced dialogue managers) for prototyping and deploying high-context, memory-aware digital entities.
• Drive continuous experience refinement by leveraging quantitative data (interaction metrics, usage patterns) and qualitative feedback loops to enhance agent intelligence and personalization.

III. Strategic & Ethical Frameworks

• Lead the definition of the digital assistant's persona, voice guidelines, and the ethical rules governing human-AI interaction within the enterprise context.
• Contribute foundational specifications to a unified digital design system, ensuring conversational components align seamlessly with established service design and brand standards.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for conversational success (e.g., task completion rate, satisfaction scores) and implement monitoring to ensure frictionless user outcomes.

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience

• 3+ years dedicated experience in designing complex user interfaces for AI products, conversational flow design, or enterprise content strategy.
• Demonstrated expertise in the principles of agentic automation, including prompt engineering and a practical understanding of the capabilities and constraints of modern Generative AI models.
• Practical, hands-on experience deploying or architecting interfaces using advanced dialogue tools (e.g., proprietary LLM toolkits, advanced frameworks like Dialogflow CX, Botpress, or similar).
• Proven ability to create comprehensive documentation, including flow diagrams, persona specifications, and style guides tailored for enterprise-level service delivery.
• Excellent ability to operate effectively within Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating closely with development, testing, and research teams.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with advanced topics like multi-agent systems, long-term memory management for AI, or sophisticated LLM orchestration.
• Familiarity with the broader enterprise AI technology ecosystem (e.g., specific cloud AI services, LangChain, semantic search).
• A background in UX writing, service blueprinting, or behavioral science/linguistics.
