About the Role

As a Network Engineer/Architect Hybrid, you will be responsible for designing, developing, standardizing, and optimizing both cloud-based and on-premise network architectures. You will play a key role in ensuring a secure, scalable, and high-performance hybrid infrastructure that aligns with business objectives and industry standards.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders to manage and minimize vulnerabilities, enforce governance, and implement best practices across AWS and enterprise network environments. Your expertise in network segmentation, security, and architecture will contribute to the stability, efficiency, and resilience of the overall IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network architectures, including:
• VPC design, subnetting, routing, NAT, Transit Gateway, and VPC peering
• Security Groups, NACLs, IAM roles, and cross-account access
• Network segmentation and application isolation in cloud environments
• Architect and manage on-premise network infrastructure, including:
• Network and application segmentation
• Private APN integration and mobile network connectivity
• RADIUS and AAA infrastructure for secure access control
• MPLS, SD-WAN, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solutions
• Create detailed architecture diagrams and blueprints for current and future network structures
• Document network topologies, components, and relationships between systems, applications, and users
• Develop and maintain network plans and roadmaps, including capacity, growth, and optimization strategies
• Propose network expansions, updates, and new initiatives aligned with strategic goals
• Assess and select tools for developing, analyzing, and managing network architecture
• Implement selected tools and ensure adequate training and adoption across the organization
• Develop and enforce guidelines, standards, and governance for network architecture management

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in network architecture, security, and cloud infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of AWS or other cloud infrastructure
• Solid experience with Cisco and Huawei networking technologies
• Ability to modernize and optimize legacy systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to collaborate across business areas
• Fluent Dutch language skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Scrum methodologies
• Network automation expertise
• Cisco and Huawei certifications
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (required or equivalent skills)
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty (preferred)
