User Experience Designer (12-month contract)

Strategic Staffing Solutions International's client is a leading global investment bank and financial services firm, known for working with top companies, governments, and institutions. With a strong presence worldwide, it focuses on investment banking, markets, asset management, and consumer finance. They are now looking for a UX Designer to join on a 12-month contract, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• User Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive user research to understand behaviors, needs, goals, and pain points. Develop user personas, user journey maps, and empathy maps based on findings.
• Information Architecture & Interaction Design: Create information architecture, user flows, and site maps to ensure intuitive navigation. Design user flow diagrams to illustrate how users move through products.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Develop low-fidelity wireframes, storyboards, and high-fidelity interactive prototypes to visualize solutions and test concepts early.
• Design Iteration & Validation: Conduct usability testing, gather stakeholder feedback, and iterate on designs to ensure user-centered and goal-aligned solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with developers, users, and stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation.
• Accessibility & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles. Stay current with modern UX trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a UX Designer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating process and outcomes.
• Expertise in standard UX design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Axure, or similar.
• Strong mastery of User-Centered Design (UCD) principles and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
• Highly self-motivated and proactive.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies (React, Angular).
• Experience with UI testing tools (Cypress, Cucumber, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI-powered design tools applied to UX workflows.
