Machine Learning Intern

Objective:

The primary aim of the Machine Learning (ML) team at GHA, is to pioneer machine learning innovations that align with our AI vision with plans to scale further to accommodate more intricate use cases and advanced ML-driven products. We are currently channeling our efforts into unsupervised and semi-supervised learning and NLP. As an intern, you will be tasked with a blend of intricate ML use cases in a live environment and groundbreaking applied Data Science and Machine Learning challenges, using our state-of-the-art Enterprise Data Warehouse and AI platforms. Joining GHA offers the chance to collaborate with our diverse internal and external stakeholders, exposing you to a broad spectrum of machine learning challenges.

Example Projects:

• Utilize Python, Databricks and Azure ML in your daily work
• Research and develop machine learning solutions for unsupervised anomaly detection, forecasting and clustering
• Work with private Large Language Models to benchmark and make custom versions for internal use cases such as NLQ
• Take models currently in production, identify areas for improvement, improve them using retraining and hyperparameter searches, then deploy without regressing on core model characteristics
• Work with our curated datasets to develop both generic models as well as fine tune models for specific products
• Aid in the creation of high quality ground truth data with speed and accuracy

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a computer science or MS Program with a focus on Machine Learning, Deep Learning or Natural Language Processing with a graduation date in the near future
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages, including: Python, Spark SQL, or similar
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently
• Experience as a researcher, including internships, full-time, or at a lab (Nice-to-have)

You will be reporting directly to the Director of Data Analytics and you will therefore be part of the Operations team. You will be working closely with our top-class group of data engineers and data analysts, as well as with other business partners and vendors.

We are based in our Dubai office in Jumeirah Lakes Towers.
