To plan, coordinate, and oversee all technical and site activities related to waterproofing works for construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role involves supervision of site execution, material management, and coordination with clients and consultants to achieve successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Coordination

• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs related to waterproofing works.
• Prepare work schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation for waterproofing activities.
• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and internal departments for project execution and approvals.
• Plan and manage daily site operations to ensure smooth progress of works.

2. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and monitor application of waterproofing systems (bituminous, polyurethane, cementitious, liquid membrane, etc.) as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Ensure all waterproofing works are executed as per approved method statements, QA/QC procedures, and HSE standards.
• Verify site conditions before application and ensure surface preparation is completed correctly.
• Coordinate inspection requests with consultants and attend site inspections.

3. Technical & Material Management

• Review and verify waterproofing materials and ensure manufacturer’s data sheets, MSDS, and approvals are in place.
• Prepare and submit technical submittals, method statements, and material approvals to consultants.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of materials as per specifications.
• Identify and report any non-conformances or technical issues and propose corrective actions.

4. Quality Assurance & Documentation

• Ensure waterproofing works meet project specifications and international standards (ASTM, BS, DIN).
• Conduct water ponding tests and other quality control checks as required.
• Maintain records of daily work progress, inspection reports, and test results.
• Prepare as-built drawings, project documentation, and completion reports.

5. Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure full compliance with company and client HSE procedures during waterproofing activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure proper use of PPE by all team members.
• Identify site hazards and implement corrective safety measures.

6. Client & Team Coordination

• Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Support the project manager in preparing progress reports and billing documentation.
• Supervise and train site supervisors and applicators on correct application techniques and quality standards.

Qualifications & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in waterproofing works (roofing, basements, wet areas, podium decks, tunnels, etc.) within the UAE/GCC.
• Strong knowledge of different waterproofing systems (bituminous membrane, polyurethane, epoxy, acrylic, cementitious, injection systems, etc.).
