About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Mobile Engineer with strong expertise across React Native, native iOS/Android development, and Node.js. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-performance mobile applications and integrating native modules across platforms. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and fluency in Mandarin, as many internal stakeholders and engineering partners operate in Mandarin-speaking environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native with production-level quality.
• Implement and integrate native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and native Android (Kotlin/Java) modules for cross-platform functionality.
• Collaborate on backend integration and mobile tooling using Node.js.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability across both iOS and Android platforms.
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Work closely with Mandarin-speaking engineering teams to align requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality features.
• Ensure best practices in mobile development, testing, CI/CD, and release management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mobile development experience, including end-to-end ownership of production mobile apps.
• Mandaring speaking skills is a must
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native (required).
• Native iOS development experience (Swift or Objective-C).
• Native Android development experience (Kotlin or Java).
• Practical experience working with Node.js for backend/mobile tooling integration.
• Experience integrating native modules into React Native applications.
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles, debugging tools, and performance optimization.
• Ability to work on-site in Etobicoke.
• Mandarin fluency is required, both verbal and written, for collaboration with internal teams.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or high-security mobile environments.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP) or CI/CD pipelines (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
