Position Overview:

We are looking for a Back-end Engineer with experience owning and shipping web apps with Django.

This is an on-site role in Doha, Qatar.


What you’ll do:

  • Create maintainable, robust data models and develop server-side applications
  • Deploy and manage backend stacks on cloud servers/services
  • Work closely with other Software Engineers to co-design, implement, and document APIs for backend functions based on requirements
  • Support and operationalize your systems for various internal and external stakeholders


Qualifications:

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields
  • 2-3 years of experience in back-end engineering — experience with AI products is a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience owning and maintaining entire back-end verticals / applications, from ideation, development, deployment, to operational support
  • Must have extensively and recently developed web applications using Django/Flask/similar MVC frameworks.
  • Strong system engineering fundamentals and programming expertise in Python
  • Must have the flare to engage with requirements instead of just taking them, understanding and challenge them to build better systems
