Data Scientist / AI Engineer (Bilingual – English and Arabic Full Proficiency)

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist / AI Engineer (4+ years overall experience) (Bilingual – Arabic & English proficient) with deep hands-on expertise in designing and deploying Generative AI (GenAI) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions on Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience developing Chat-with-Documents or internal enterprise LLM based assistants using Azure OpenAI Service, Cognitive Search, and Azure Machine Learning, ideally within regulated or enterprise environments.

The role involves building and optimizing GenAI-powered internal chatbots that enable employees to query organizational documents, policies, and knowledge bases through natural language queries.

This position is based in Doha, with occasional travel to other Middle East client locations as required.

Responsibilities

1. Design and implement GenAI and RAG-based chatbots using Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Search, and Azure ML.
2. Build document ingestion, embedding, and retrieval pipelines for enterprise knowledge sources.
3. Prepare and process multilingual (English–Arabic) data ensuring quality and semantic accuracy.
4. Deploy and manage AI solutions.
5. Evaluate model accuracy, latency, and hallucination rates with ongoing monitoring.
6. Ensure compliance with Responsible AI and data privacy frameworks.
7. Collaborate with business and IT teams to align solutions with real use cases.
8. Support Presales activities – Develop point of view and thought leadership documentations, Develop quick AI prototypes, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and client demos to support business development and pre-sales efforts.
9. Translate complex AI concepts into actionable insights for business leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
10. Team Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing - Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a strong consulting background
• Proven experience of implementing at least one LLM based solution
• Must have worked on at least one of the the following use cases types – Predictive Modeling & Classification , Simulation & Optimization , Recommender Systems , Time Series Forecasting
• Proven track record in deploying AI solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Must be bilingual (Arabic and English language proficiency)

Technical Expertise

• Strong programming skills in Python, and SQL, with expertise in ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
• Proficiency in designing end-to-end AI pipelines, integrating ML Models with data sources, business applications; MLOps implementation, including automated model deployment, CI/CD, & monitoring strategies.
• Hands-on experience in Responsible AI implementation, ensuring fairness, explainability, and ethical AI governance.

Preferred Industry Experience

• Prior experience in AI implementation within at least one of the following sectors: Financial Services (Preferred) , Oil & Gas , Manufacturing, Government/Citizen Services , Energy & Utilities, Telecom

Consulting & Leadership Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills, with experience in working on AI consulting projects.
• Pre-sales experience with the ability to build quick PoCs, AI demos, and support business development efforts.
