Golang Engineer – Exciting Sports Data Opportunity
Location: London / Hybrid (UK-friendly hours)

I’m currently working with a leading sports data company that partners with some of the biggest names in the sports industry. They provide reliable, actionable insights through tailor-made solutions, helping their clients stay competitive in a fast-paced market.
They’re looking for a Golang Engineer to join their team and work on high-performance back-end services that power their real-time data products. This is a chance to work on scalable systems handling large volumes of sports data, and to have direct impact on products used by top-tier sports organisations.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Golang.
- Work on real-time data pipelines and microservices.
- Collaborate closely with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Contribute to system architecture and engineering strategy.
- Ensure high code quality through unit tests, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in Golang (5+ years preferred).
- Experience building microservices or backend systems at scale.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Comfortable working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with real-time data processing is a plus (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and team-oriented mindset.
Bonus: Experience with sports analytics, distributed systems, or high-throughput data pipelines.
