DevOps Lead (London 3 days a week)
About the Company
An AI-led start-up with £200 million+ in funding is making its first DevOps hire. The business is building next-generation AI-powered products in a lean, fast-moving, engineering-first environment. The culture is flat, collaborative, and free from legacy structures, giving significant ownership to early technical leaders at this stage with hugely ambitious plans to capture the market.
A competitive £130k base salary is offered alongside a meaningful options scheme.
Role Overview
As the company’s first DevOps hire, you will own the cloud platform, developer experience, and core infrastructure from day one. This is a hands-on platform leadership role where you will define the DevOps roadmap, build foundational tooling, shape engineering standards, and grow a high-performing team as the company scales.
Requirements
- Proven Start Up experience leading DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering in modern cloud-native environments.
- Ideally experiences from an organisation with AI at its core.
- Deep technical capability across AWS/Azur and Kubernetes.
- Strong grounding in platform security
- 3+ years at Principal or Lead level
