  • Implement VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
  • Manage Fixed Wireless links including PtP/PtMP deployments, antenna alignment, and link tuning.
  • Configure wireless platforms such as Peplink, Cambium, Ubiquiti, Mikrotik.
  • Perform firmware upgrades, backups, and device patching.

Fixed Wireless Engineering

  • Deploy and maintain Point-to-Point (PtP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) microwave/wireless links.
  • Conduct RF surveys, line-of-sight checks, and path planning.
  • Troubleshoot interference, throughput issues, signal drops, and instability.
  • Configure and optimize radios, dish antennas, APs, CPEs, and relay links.
  • Work with tools like InControl, cnMaestro, and UISP for monitoring.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Monitor wired/wireless networks using PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, InControl, UISP, cnMaestro.
  • Use Wireshark, TCPdump, and RF vendor tools to diagnose issues.
  • Resolve escalated incidents and perform RCA documentation.
  • Investigate routing problems, latency, packet loss, and RF performance issues.

Security & Compliance

  • Configure firewall rules, ACLs, VPNs, and IPS/IDS technologies.
  • Secure wireless backhaul segments.
  • Support compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOX, GDPR.
  • Implement segmentation and Zero Trust network models.

Performance & Optimization

  • Conduct bandwidth and capacity planning for wired and wireless environments.
  • Optimize failover, redundancy, and load balancing.
  • Maintain ≥ 99.9% network uptime.
  • Improve RF spectrum usage and mitigate interference.

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain network diagrams, RF path documentation, radio configs, and topology maps.
  • Update change logs under ITIL change management.
  • Document RF surveys, path profiles, and installation reports.

Collaboration & Projects

  • Provide recommendations on vendor hardware selection.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Strong foundation in routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless networking.
  • Hands-on experience with Fixed Wireless (PtP/PtMP).
  • Excellent troubleshooting instincts and calm under pressure.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset to anticipate outages or degradation.

Required Experience & Skills (Minimum)

  • 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience.
