Reporting To: Senior Reporting Manager

Employment Type: Full time - 6 month contract

The Role

The Senior Data Visualisation and Automation Executive will be a key member of our dynamic and fast paced Research Reporting team, creating innovative client deliverables, performing data analysis and utilising market leading research tools. This is a hands on and varied role providing foundational experience for someone who is looking to build their career in data and research reporting.

You will support the Research Reporting team by contributing to reporting and data projects by building production-ready tables, automating outputs within Q and DisplayR to PowerPoint and Excel, and applying rigorous QA so reports are accurate, fast, and repeatable. You will be focused on identifying continuous improvement opportunities and show a willingness to learn.

You are someone who has a passion for financial services, has a curious mind, excellent attention to detail, seeks out opportunities to simplify and shows initiative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support accurate generation and detailed review of sensitive performance metrics used by our clients within core functions of their institutions, and for market updates
  • Deliver high quality outputs. Have experience in data and research coupled with an eagerness to learn
  • Focused on continuous improvement, leveraging curiosity to deep dive into data and processes to determine the root cause. Identify areas to optimise
  • Utilising programming to support the delivery of variable creation, recodes, automation, and data wrangling
  • Work to project timelines and ensure requests are delivered on time, with risks and issues called out in advance
  • Monitoring market trends to stay up to fate on financial services industry changes to maintain a strong understanding of the market and our clients to deliver relevant, insight driven outputs
  • Cross-functional collaboration with team members, including sales, client services, operations and research teams
  • Communication of ideas, thinking outside the box and seeking to challenge the status quo

Requirements

  • Have a degree in any discipline
  • A passion for financial services and data
  • 2-4 years experience in a data analysis or research role
  • Expertise in research tools (e.g. SPSS, Q and Displayr)
  • Displayr experience is highly regarded
  • SPSS experience is highly regarded
  • Coding knowledge within R and JavaScript is highly regarded
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Be a self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with a steep learning curve
  • Be self-motivated and able to work both autonomously and in a team
  • Enjoy working in an open and collaborative environment
  • Be confident multi-tasking and managing multiple deadlines
  • Solid communication skills
