Job Purpose

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend services that power our platforms. Working as part of a cross-functional team, you will own the entire development lifecycle, from refining requirements and writing clean, reliable code to automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of production systems.

Your expertise in Go, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservices will be essential to building scalable, resilient, and secure services. This role requires strong technical ownership, autonomy, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to design discussions, architectural decisions, and code reviews, while fostering shared responsibility across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full development cycle together with your team, from requirements definition and implementation to automated testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code while upholding high engineering standards.
  • Participate in and lead design and code reviews, ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable backend solutions.
  • Design the architecture of new services, applying microservice patterns, event sourcing, and DDD principles.
  • Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations using Kafka.
  • Collaborate on performance improvements, debugging, and troubleshooting of distributed systems.
  • Contribute to a culture of shared ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.


Experience & Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience building backend services and REST APIs using Go (Golang).
  • Deep knowledge of event sourcing and messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.
  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL solutions such as Redis.
  • Familiarity with TDD, DDD, and modern development practices.
  • Solid understanding of microservice architecture patterns such as service discovery, circuit breaking, and bulkheads.
  • Ability to design and architect new services with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Advanced English skills (written and spoken), capable of collaborating in distributed teams.
  • Demonstrated autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility across the full product lifecycle.


Nice to Have

  • ElasticSearch, profiling tools, Terraform.
  • Basic understanding of cloud services such as AWS.
