Back-end Developer PHP

We're looking for a skilled professional to join our client's dynamic team, focused on enhancing their cutting-edge software initiatives related to advanced recognition technologies. This role is instrumental in the development and support of innovative software solutions that leverage intelligent systems for effective data management and operational excellence.

Responsibilities And Role

As a senior back-end developer, you will take charge of designing, developing, and integrating software applications that are crucial to the operational framework of our client. Your tasks include:

• Back-end development: Building and maintaining robust, scalable web applications using modern technologies.
• Technical implementation: Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code while adhering to best practices. This involves working with RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and both on-premise and hybrid cloud services.
• Collaboration: Partnering with product managers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver user-friendly software, including working with external vendors for integration.
• Co-creation: Actively participating in workshops to collaborate on integrations, APIs, and real-time data pipelines.
• Code review: Engaging in peer-code assessments to provide constructive feedback and ensure high code quality.
  
  
  

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or computer science, along with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience in back-end software development. Key qualifications include:

• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, and Typescript, with experience in frameworks such as Laravel being a plus.
• Strong familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitLab) and database management, particularly with PGSQL and relational/non-relational databases.
• Solid understanding of Linux-based environments, security best practices, and experience in API development.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, and containerized application development.
• Professional working proficiency in Dutch and English, with strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
