Your Role
As a Senior Backend Engineer on our Remarketing Team, you'll play a key role in launching one of FINN’s most strategic new business lines. This isn’t just another product feature— you’ll help build a “company within the company” as we develop our Remarketing-as-a-Service platform from the ground up.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will collaborate closely with data analysts, business automation managers, and operational teams to deeply understand their needs and engineer the tools that help us sell cars faster, better, and at the best market prices.
Your Benefits
- Flexibility to work either in our Munich office or remotely within 1 hour of the Munich time zone (CET/CEST).
- With massive growth potential, FINN allows you to quickly develop and succeed in a highly motivating startup environment with ambitious challenges in cross-functional teams.
- Relocation support for you and your family.
- Excellent fixed salary, significant virtual equity share of the company, along a yearly personal development budget of 1,500€.
- Access to discounted gym memberships and a range of attractive mobility benefits – from exclusive deals on FINN cars to other flexible commuting options.
- An open-minded community to be welcomed from day one and fun team events with amazing colleagues.
- Share your technical expertise: Play a driving technical role in the Backend team. You will be able to share your technical knowledge and engineering best practices, as well as shape technical discussions to deliver the best possible solutions.
- You build it, you run it: Build features and take ownership for testing, deployment and monitoring of your code. Yes, we believe in Serverless!
- Do it, do it, automate it: Simplify, automate and optimize processes that are currently in place.
- ProCode and Nocode: Building Data-Models and APIs is a core responsibility of yours. So is building Retools and maintaining Make-Scenarios.
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in a startup or automotive environment.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL; Python experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with NoCode tools (Retool, Make) is a plus.
- Ability to design scalable systems iteratively in an agile environment.
- Strong product mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
- Proven track record of owning and delivering complex projects.
- Experience with Serverless architectures is a plus.
- Fluency in English; German is a plus.
- Seeking permanent employment (no B2B contracts).
Factors that may influence an employee's pay within this range include, but are not limited to, their experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, education level, seniority, and performance. The compensation for this role will be within the range of €81,000 to €94,000 + VSOP, depending on the factors described above, as assessed during the interview process. This is the lowest and highest salary that we in good faith believe to be fair for this role at the time of this posting. This compensation range may be subject to change in the future.
