Business Development Representative (BDR)


Location: Remote

Compensation: Good base + uncapped commission


I am recruiting on behalf of a Fast-growing AI company delivering advanced financial insights and reporting to private equity and VC firms. Rapidly expanding across US and European markets.


The Opportunity

We need a hungry, intelligent prospector who can open doors with CFOs, finance directors, and C-suite executives. You'll build pipeline for our Enterprise Account Executives, identify high-value opportunities, and set the stage for complex sales cycles. This is a launchpad role-top performers move into closing roles within 12-18 months.


What You'll Do

  • Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn, events)
  • Research and identify target accounts across private equity and VC firms
  • Book qualified meetings for Enterprise Account Executives
  • Conduct initial discovery calls with finance and C-suite executives
  • Articulate Planr's value proposition to sophisticated buyers
  • Collaborate closely with AEs on account strategy and messaging
  • Maintain detailed activity metrics and CRM hygiene
  • Attend 2-3 industry conferences annually (travel 10-15%)
  • Partner with Marketing on campaign feedback and lead quality


What We Need

Non-negotiable:


  • 1-3 years B2B sales, BDR, or business development experience (SaaS/tech preferred)
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic-you're driven by targets and competition
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable engaging with senior executives-CFOs and finance leaders don't intimidate you
  • Coachable with a growth mindset-you want to learn enterprise sales
  • Resilient-you handle rejection and stay motivated
  • Strong research and organizational skills
  • Financially curious-you understand business metrics and can speak intelligently about ROI
  • Team player who collaborates effectively with AEs and Marketing
  • Comfortable working mainly office-based for training and collaboration
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
