We are seeking an experienced and driven Regional IT Director - Iberia to join our team.

In this role, you will oversee the daily operation and support of all IT functions across the hotel/resort, including business and office systems, computer networks, IT security infrastructure, and telephony.

At the core of this position is the comprehensive management of all Information Technology matters at the property. You will provide user training and technical support, implement network and system enhancements, and ensure the smooth operation of hardware and software systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventories of all IT equipment and software licenses, as well as reviewing and managing maintenance agreements.

Domes Resorts is seeking an experienced Regional IT Director - Iberia to oversee and enhance all Information Systems across the region — a hybrid role that may include regular travel.

Scope of the Role:

  • Manage the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, upgrading and support of all IT systems (servers, PCs, OS, printers, software, IPTV, Wi-Fi, telephony and peripherals).
  • Provide expert support and advice for system upgrades, installations, migrations and file maintenance.
  • Oversee the improvement of existing systems and the integration of new solutions.
  • Stay current with new technologies and recommend solutions that meet business needs.
  • Define and monitor IT security to minimise downtime and prevent data loss.
  • Ensure all systems and users comply with GDPR and maintain logs of relevant data access.
  • Negotiate with hardware/software vendors and manage contracts with external providers and consultants.
  • Create and manage project budgets and oversee the IT department's overall spending and purchasing

Core Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Coordinate and manage external vendors for Guest Internet, PMS, POS, ERP, IPTV, Wi-Fi, telephony and other hotel systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues (servers, workstations, email, network equipment).
  • Configure, maintain and monitor network and systems, ensuring high availability and stable performance.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance for all IT hardware and software.
  • Manage backups and disaster recovery, ensuring data is securely stored.
  • Administer antivirus, firewalls and other security tools, providing daily support.
  • Support users with PC and software issues, providing practical solutions and training where needed.
  • Maintain error/progress logs and follow up on all reported problems.
  • Ensure implementation of IT audit points and compliance with SOPs and GDPR.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software licences.
  • Manage system access and VPN rights, ensuring only active employees have access (in coordination with HR).
  • Stay up to date with hotel technology trends and IT security risks.
  • Assist with the annual IT/revenue budget process.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by management

Requirements

Useful to have:

  • 5 - 8 years of hands-on IT Director or senior IT roles
  • A strong command of both written and spoken English is required; additional languages an asset
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in computer science or a related field
  • Must be EU Citizen or in possession
  • Highly computer literate with a high level command of all MS Suite.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology will be highly appreciated
