At Verendus, we’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to take a leading role in the continued evolution of Rentingforce - our cloud-based rental software used across the recreational vehicle industry.

About the role

As a Senior Software Developer at Verendus, you will play a key role in evolving, refining, and future-proofing Rentingforce as new customer and market needs emerge. You’ll work with an already existing and complex codebase where your ability to quickly gain deep understanding, spot improvement opportunities, and deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions will have real impact. This is a role where you influence technical decisions and actively shape the next generation of the platform.

You will be part of a skilled and motivated team, collaborating closely with colleagues across Verendus to ensure Rentingforce continues to deliver great value to our users. The position is primarily based in our modern Jönköping office, overlooking Lake Vättern, but working from our Gothenburg office is also possible.

About you

This role suits someone who can quickly understand existing logic, identify improvements, be proactive and confidently move development forward. That said, we believe you have 5+ years of experience as a Software developer. If the following competences and personal traits resonate with you, you have the right foundation for excelling in this role:

• Strong experience with PHP
• Solid experience with MySQL
• Good knowledge of JavaScript
• Ability to read, understand, and navigate complex existing codebases
• Strong ability to work independently and take initiative
• Structured, organized approach to problem-solving and delivery

Experience with cloud-based SaaS products and understanding of rental/booking systems or similar domains is meritorious. Additionally, knowledge of German is also a plus, as you will work closely with colleagues based in Germany.
