Overview:
A leading financial institution is seeking a DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to join its Data & Regulatory Reporting division. The role focuses on the development and maintenance of robust, end-to-end data solutions supporting regulatory and risk reporting. This position is ideal for a DevOps professional with strong experience in cloud engineering, data pipeline automation, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) within enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Platform Development & Integration
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines to support risk and regulatory reporting.
- Translate complex data requirements into secure and performant technical solutions.
- Ensure the end-to-end reliability of data delivery workflows.
2. Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (Azure)
- Build and manage Azure-native infrastructure using IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
- Configure secure cloud environments, including networking, identity access, and workload optimization.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure supports data performance and regulatory requirements.
3. DevOps & Automation
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data solutions using Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
- Implement logging, alerting, and observability solutions across Azure environments.
4. Collaboration & Compliance
- Work cross-functionally with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with regulatory objectives.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise standards for data governance, privacy, and compliance.
- Contribute to internal documentation and knowledge sharing around architecture and DevOps practices.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure services (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Key Vault, VNets, NSGs).
- Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Solid understanding of data transformation tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, PySpark, dbt).
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, MSSQL, and Databricks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial services, particularly in regulatory or risk reporting domains.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer).
- Background in large-scale cloud migration or Azure-native data architecture projects.
