About Sferical AI

Sferical AI is a company co-founded by AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Saab, SEB and Wallenberg Investments. We provide a secure, sovereign AI infrastructure and high-performance compute to help leading Swedish companies develop and deploy advanced AI with real business impact.

The infrastructure will be powered by NVIDIA DGX SuperPODs featuring the latest Grace Blackwell GB300 systems, delivering world-class performance for both production workloads and research. As part of the initiative, NVIDIA will establish an AI technology and development center in Sweden, supporting capability building across the partner companies.

Sferical AI is now building the core DevOps team that will develop and operate this platform. The DevOps team will be based in central Stockholm, while the AI hardware infrastructure is hosted in Linköping. The role is on-site, with room for hybrid flexibility.

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer with a passion for data centers, automation and secure infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and scalability of our networking environment, which includes infrastructure supporting high-performance computing (HPC) and advanced AI workloads.

This role suits someone who enjoys working hands-on with modern networking technologies, thrives in complex environments and is motivated by building something new alongside a talented engineering team.

What you’ll do

• Operate, maintain and enhance the data center network and NVIDIA SuperPOD network, from core to access layers
• Work with cutting-edge technologies from NVIDIA and Juniper
• Develop and implement on-prem network and cloud security solutions and processes
• Drive network automation in line with DevOps principles

Who you are

• You enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges and improving systems over time
• You’re comfortable working in a new, fast-moving environment where structures are still being shaped
• You communicate clearly and collaborate well across disciplines
• Given the security clearance needed for this role, Swedish citizenship is required

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in secure data center networks, including protocols and technologies such as BGP, EVPN/VXLAN and RoCE
• Strong background in network architecture and solution design
• Experience with cloud services and security solutions via CDNs
• Solid understanding of security and segmentation principles
• Preferred: Experience with automation frameworks (DevOps/GitOps/CI pipelines), configuration management and monitoring tools
• Stand-out: Experience in AI infrastructure and large-scale data center VXLAN networks with knowledge of RoCE
