Do you want to contribute to our AI initiative and turn data, technology and business insight into intelligent solutions that improve our customers’ experiences? Then you can become part of a team of great colleagues, where technical quality and meaningful work go hand in hand, and where the work is carried out in beautiful surroundings in Nordhavn.

The Danish Standards Foundation has launched a strategic initiative within AI and data-driven technologies, and we are looking for a skilled AI Engineer with a solid back-end understanding of the .NET and Microsoft stack to help shape the next generation of our digital services. With us, you will not just have a role in a development team — you will be a key player in turning AI technology into concrete products and solutions that create real value for our customers and strengthen our digital position in the market. If you thrive with responsibility, professional quality and purpose-driven solutions — keep reading.

About the job

As an AI Engineer at the Danish Standards Foundation, you will be part of our internal development team of five dedicated colleagues, where collaboration, professional sparring and curiosity about new technology are a natural part of everyday work. Your primary task will be to develop and implement AI-based solutions and services that can be integrated directly into our digital products and platforms.

Developing AI solutions is your primary focus, but the role also requires solid experience in back-end development. In close collaboration with our full-stack developers, you will help turn AI solutions into robust and scalable services and contribute to the development of back-end services.

You will work closely with our digital product development department and the business, and you will be involved all the way from idea and concept development to implementation and ongoing improvements. The role therefore requires both deep technical insight and the ability to translate complex possibilities into concrete solutions with customer and business value.

About you

You have a deep interest in AI technologies and solid experience with tools such as Python, semantic models, Microsoft Fabric or Azure OpenAI Services. You thrive at the intersection of data, software development and business understanding, and you are motivated by seeing your solutions become concrete features that users adopt.

You have experience with back-end development and understand how AI models should be integrated into a modern architecture. You can work independently, while also valuing dialogue, sparring and close collaboration with both developers and business colleagues.

Must-have experience – what matters most for succeeding in the role:

  • Experience with AI/machine learning and a desire to work with modelling and implementing AI solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure OpenAI Services or similar cloud-based AI platforms
  • Skills in Python and an understanding of data processing and modelling
  • Good knowledge of search and semantic models
  • The ability to translate technical possibilities into concrete solutions with user or business value
  • A structured approach to development and an understanding that AI solutions must be put into operation and maintained
  • Experience with back-end development (e.g. .NET, C#, Node.js or similar) and understanding of API design and integration
  • Understand Danish

Nice-to-have - what gives you an extra edge:

  • Knowledge of semantic search, vector-based models or Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Practical experience building AI components that form part of full-stack solutions
  • Interest in experimenting, testing and working iteratively — also when everything is not defined in advance
  • Experience with various database paradigms such as SQL, NoSQL, graph and vector databases

Your personal competencies

You are used to working in a structured way and taking responsibility throughout the development process. We also emphasize that you:

  • are a team player who thrives in collaboration
  • can work independently and take initiative
  • are proactive and curious about new technologies
  • have a strong focus on quality and well-crafted solutions
  • are result-oriented, focused and professional
