As a PHP Tech Lead, you will take charge of architecting, developing, and enhancing a high-impact SaaS platform that supports millions of users globally. You will guide and mentor a team of developers, driving technical excellence while ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable web applications. Accountabilities:
- Lead development of scalable, high-quality PHP (Laravel) applications that support creator platforms and online payment systems
- Mentor and guide developers through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural planning
- Oversee the full lifecycle of projects, from technical design to deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Facilitate architectural discussions and ensure alignment on technical direction across the engineering team
- Implement and enforce best practices for security, reliability, performance, and data integrity in financial and transaction-based applications
- Contribute directly to codebase as a core technical contributor, ensuring high standards and maintainability
- 5+ years of professional experience with PHP and Laravel, with expertise in modern development methodologies and design patterns
- Strong knowledge of web development standards, including RESTful APIs, microservices, caching, testing, and CI/CD
- Proven experience leading complex technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and maintaining code quality
- Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and query optimization for performance
- Proficiency in automated testing (unit, feature, integration) for transaction-heavy applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose creative and secure technical solutions
- Attention to detail with a focus on security, reliability, and data integrity in financial systems
- Strong communication skills and experience working in remote or distributed teams
