Sr. Mobile Architect (Android)

Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for a Sr. Mobile Architect (Android) who will lead mobile architecture strategy, present design solutions to executive stakeholders, and provide hands-on technical oversight across both Android and iOS development teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong design expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to balance architectural leadership with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design robust, scalable mobile solutions for both Android and iOS platforms, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Present architectural designs and technical recommendations to business teams, senior executives, and cross-functional partners.
• Document architecture, design decisions, integration points, and technical specifications with clarity and precision.
• Work hands-on (20–35%) to support coding, conduct code reviews, and validate that development teams are implementing solutions according to design standards.
• Partner with development teams to ensure mobile features and enhancements are delivered with high quality, performance, and security.
• Support ongoing feature expansion and enhancements to existing Android and iOS applications.
• Manage time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while balancing design work, hands-on support, and stakeholder interactions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in UI frameworks, coding standards, and architectural patterns.
  
  

Desired Skill Set:

• 10–12 years of experience in mobile development across Android and iOS.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a Mobile Architect or Mobile Solutions Designer.
• Proficiency in Kotlin UI for Android and SwiftUI for iOS.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments with complex mobile ecosystems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present architectural concepts to senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to create clear, professional architecture and design documentation.
• Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to perform 20–35% hands-on coding and code reviews.
