Senior Java Developer – Trading Platforms / Low-Latency / Front Office

Our client, a leading global financial institution, is looking for an experienced Java Developer to join their Front Office technology team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced trading environments and enjoys working closely with business stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and enhance high-performance trading platform components
• Build low-latency, multi-threaded systems to support real-time trading
• Collaborate directly with Front Office users, including traders and quants
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable trading solutions
• Troubleshoot, analyse, and optimise system performance

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 7 years of strong experience with core Java, including low-latency and multi-threading
• Proven experience building or supporting trading platforms
• Front Office exposure is essential
• Background in banking, hedge funds, or other financial institutions
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, such as equities, derivatives, fixed income, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
