Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Data Engineer (Database) with 8+ years of hands-on expertise in MSSQL optimization, including table/index design, complex query and stored procedure tuning, and regression testing for database changes. The ideal candidate excels in diagnosing performance bottlenecks, enhancing query efficiency involving multi-table joins, and ensuring system stability in high-demand environments. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential, with added advantages for candidates experienced in Amazon RDS, C# backend development, or the finance industry.

Job Requirements

• Possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in database performance tuning, particularly MSSQL.
• Expertise in database performance tuning on table and index structure.
• Expertise in performance tuning on complex database queries and stored procedures, involving complex logic and joins of more than 5 tables.
• Expertise in regression testing changes made to database objects and queries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Expertise in Amazon RDS is advantageous.
• Backend software engineering skill in C# is advantageous.
• Finance industry experience is advantageous.
