Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and career-driven Procurement Engineer to join our Supply Chain Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full procurement cycle: sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and follow-up.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers to enhance quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Review technical specifications, project requirements, and ensure materials comply with standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments (operations, logistics, warehouse, finance, and project teams).
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate supplier records.
- Maintain cost comparisons, purchase reports, and procurement analyses.
- Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies, procedures, and budget guidelines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function.
- Manage urgent or time-sensitive requirements efficiently without compromising quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of procurement experience (preferably in industrial, engineering, oil & gas, chemicals, or construction sectors).
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis.
- ERP experience is required.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of requirements and prioritize effectively.
